Dr. Tracey Lim is a senior consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist at The Tow Yung Clinic. Aside from obstetrics and general gynaecology, her interest lies in the management of abnormal Pap/HPV tests, colposcopy procedures, treatment of pre-invasive gynaecological conditions, and the management of menopausal symptoms.
Dr. Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1994 and obtained her Membership in obstetrics and gynaecology in 2005 followed with a Fellowship at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2001.She earned her Masters of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Singapore) in 2002 and was admitted as a Fellow to the Academy of Medicine (Singapore) in 2005. This was followed with a Fellowship at the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2015.
Dr. Lim has been in medical practice since 1995. She completed her extensive training and clinical work in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from 1995 to 2005. Thereafter, she continued her practice at The Tow Yung Clinic in 2006.
As a committed campaigner for public health, Dr. Lim promotes cervical cancer prevention and awareness through cervical screening initiatives. She was involved in the National Cervical Screen guidelines and held tenure for 3 terms as the President of the Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology of Singapore (SCCPS) from 2010 to 2013 and continues to hold posts within the council. She was also one of the pioneer doctors actively involved in the development of the Power Over Cervical Cancer (POCC) website which aimed to increase public awareness of cervical cancer by engaging people online using interactive platforms and activities.
Dr. Tracey Lim is a passionate advocate for menopause education and women’s health. Known for her patient-centred approach, she supports women through the physical and emotional changes of midlife and encourages open discussion and informed decision-making on the options available for the menopause woman. She remains involved in community outreach and ongoing professional development in this field. Her most recent talk was a GP forum: The Missing Piece: Closing the Gap in Women’s Health – Menopause, Why It Is Important.
Dr. Tracey Lim is also involved in post-graduate education and regularly participates in the Annual Colposcopy Course and Annual MRCOG revision courses. She has had 7 publications in referred journals ranging from the
Singapore Medical Journal to the Annals of the Academy of Medicine Singapore with posters and presentations at international meetings.
Inspired by her father, Dr Lim Lean Huat (Past President and Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore, and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine Singapore), who was actively involved in obstetric care, Dr Tracey Lim developed an early interest in women’s health. She is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist who upholds a patient-centred approach in her clinical practice. She is a mother of three sons and maintains an active interest in the performing arts and running.
